The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Benibo Anabraba, has officially announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a letter dated January 5, 2026, addressed to the PDP chairman of Ward 1 in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Anabraba cited personal considerations as the reason for his departure.
In his correspondence, he expressed gratitude for the platform, support, and political opportunities the PDP provided him during his tenure. However, he did not reveal his next political steps.
