The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has charged Samuel Ojeogwu, brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, in an Abuja court for alleged criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft.
According to SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, this action follows a petition received by the FCT Metro Area Command on October 28, 2025, against Ojeogwu and three others. The allegations include criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.
“Ojeogwu failed to honor several police invitations before he was arrested in Lagos and transported to Abuja for investigation,” Adeh stated. After the petition was filed, multiple invitations were sent to him for questioning, which he did not respond to. He was subsequently arrested under a court-issued warrant.
On November 6, 2025, after investigations were completed, Ojeogwu was arraigned in court. He has been remanded pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions.
The situation has escalated family tensions, as Regina Daniels recently expressed her distress in a viral video, crying over her brother’s detention. She stated, “I will go back,” revealing the emotional toll of her family’s current struggles.
This incident comes against a backdrop of reported marital issues for Regina with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, whom she previously accused of domestic violence. Nwoko has denied these allegations, attributing her behavior to supposed substance abuse, which he claims has strained their marriage.
The FCT Police Command reiterated its commitment to professionalism and the rule of law in handling such cases.
