A police constable, Dogara Akolo-Moses, assigned to the Mada Station Division of the Nasarawa command, has reportedly taken his own life. The incident occurred in Nasarawa Eggon local government area, where the officer was on duty.

Witnesses stated that Akolo-Moses entered a private room and shot himself. The sound of the gunfire alerted fellow officers, who rushed to the scene only to find him lying in a pool of blood, with his firearm beside him.

The reasons behind this tragic act remain unclear as investigations are underway. Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer for Nasarawa State Command, confirmed the incident and stated that authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the officer’s actions.
