A faction of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed strong disapproval of the withdrawal of several chairmanship candidates from the upcoming Abuja Local Council elections. The faction described this move as “anti-democratic” and indicative of deeper issues within the party’s leadership.
In a statement released on social media, the National Working Committee of the PDP voiced its “utter dismay” at the developments, citing the withdrawal as symptomatic of a troubling trend.
