The Katsina State Government has received its first shipment of medical supplies, valued at $1 million, from World Medical Relief in Detroit, USA. This delivery follows Governor Dikko Radda’s visit to the organization in November 2023, where he discussed the healthcare needs of Katsina.
Governor Radda expressed his commitment to improving healthcare access and secured a promise for ten containers of essential medical supplies. Each container is estimated to hold equipment worth $1 million.
In addition to the initial shipment, two more containers are on their way from Lagos, while seven are still in transit. The partnership also includes plans for the acquisition of advanced MRIs and CT scanners, with training for local technicians.
Governor Radda emphasized that these supplies will significantly enhance healthcare services in Katsina, aligning with his administration’s goals to reform the healthcare sector. The state has implemented a distribution plan to ensure these resources reach healthcare facilities effectively.
Since taking office, Governor Radda has prioritized healthcare reforms, upgrading facilities to meet comprehensive health standards for better service delivery.
