The recently impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has criticized the process of his removal, calling on lawmakers to adhere to constitutional procedures.
Speaking on Saturday at the Speaker’s Lodge in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, Obasa addressed his supporters for the first time since his impeachment. He refuted allegations of corruption leveled against him during the process, describing claims of financial mismanagement as “impossible.”
“I am not disturbed, I am not afraid,” Obasa said, expressing confidence despite the political developments within the Assembly.
A large crowd of supporters gathered at the lodge to show solidarity with the former speaker, while he maintained his stance on the events surrounding his removal.
