Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has urged All Progressives Congress (APC) members to avoid relying on social media propaganda, asserting that elections are won through grassroots efforts rather than platforms like X, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok.
During an APC stakeholders’ meeting in Kaduna, following the party’s recent by-election victory, Sani emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization and effective governance. He stated, “There is no ballot box on Twitter… Elections are won at the grassroots, not online.”
The governor remarked that while the opposition engaged in propaganda, the APC focused on real political efforts, which resonated with the electorate. He noted that the recent win was particularly significant in areas where the APC had historically struggled, attributing success to investments in rural empowerment and agriculture.
“Before now, some communities never voted for our party. Today, they stood with us because they saw inclusivity,” Sani explained, highlighting the reclamation of over 500,000 hectares of abandoned farmland and the state’s leadership in agricultural production.
Sani called on party leaders to adhere to the APC manifesto, stressing that the party’s success in 2027 hinges on maintaining strong community ties. He warned, “If we remain with the people, no party can defeat us.”
APC State Chairman Air Commodore Emmanuel Jekada (rtd.) praised the governor’s inclusive leadership and expressed optimism for the party’s future successes.
