The troops of Operation Fansar Yamma have been directed by Defence Minister Muhammad Badaru to apprehend Bello Turji, the notorious bandit commander.
At the One Brigade Headquarters in Gusau, Zamfara State, the Minister addressed the troops and issued the directive.
According to him, President Bola Tinubu has been monitoring the military’ actions over the last few months and has observed some progress in the fight against terrorists in the area, but there are still challenges.
As a result, he asked me to express my gratitude and call on you to do more to eradicate insecurity in the nation and these operational areas. To eradicate insecurity in Nigeria and the Northwest, he is prepared to supply anything you require.
“I had some reassurances from the commander officer and was pleased, sure that we would reach the goal. Are you ready to finish with them? Are ready to end it? Please get me Turji.”
The Minister visited the Operation Fansar Yamma in Gusau to take briefings on military operations.
The Minister was received by the Commander, Joint Taskforce Northwest Operation Fansar Yamma, Major General Oluyinka Soyele, the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Mumun,i among other dignitaries.
