Former minister Femi Fani-Kayode has dismissed claims that Germany rejected his proposed appointment as Nigeria’s ambassador.
The report had alleged that German authorities declined his nomination over concerns about past statements and conduct, describing them as controversial.
Reacting, Fani-Kayode described the report as false, blaming political opponents for spreading misinformation. He insisted that efforts to discredit him would not stop his appointment.
President Bola Tinubu had earlier approved Fani-Kayode as an ambassador-designate, although his specific posting has not been officially confirmed.
There has been no formal response from German authorities regarding the alleged rejection.
