Former Military Administrator of Bayelsa State and ex-Minister of Special Duties, Captain Caleb Olubolade (retired), has died after collapsing during a tennis match in Lagos.
The 70-year-old, who also served as Minister of Police Affairs and Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, reportedly drove himself to a tennis facility in Apapa on Sunday evening. He slumped while playing, and despite immediate efforts by nearby medical personnel, he could not be revived.
He was later confirmed dead at the Obisesan Naval Medical Hospital in Apapa.
His family, in a statement, confirmed his passing and said burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
