Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has spent a second night in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as investigations into alleged financial improprieties during his tenure continue.
El-Rufai, who reportedly presented himself to the anti-graft agency after being invited, remains under interrogation over accusations linked to the alleged diversion of public funds and money laundering.
Sources close to the matter indicated that the former governor’s detention may extend further depending on the progress of ongoing questioning, as the EFCC intensifies its probe into the allegations.
