Hassana Shuaibu Dada, Assistant National Youth Leader (North Central) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has condemned what she described as politically motivated prosecutions targeting former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
In a statement released Wednesday, Dada accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of orchestrating selective prosecutions aimed at weakening the ADC, which she said poses a growing challenge to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The selective prosecutions of our leaders, Hon. Abubakar Malami and Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, through the EFCC are clearly politically motivated efforts to weaken the ADC because we represent a real alternative to the ruling party,” Dada stated.
She expressed solidarity with the affected leaders and party members nationwide, insisting that the actions would not deter the opposition.
“These efforts will not intimidate us; instead, they will only strengthen our unity and resolve,” she added.
Dada reaffirmed the ADC’s commitment to justice, inclusion and national renewal, urging Nigerians to remain vigilant and support the party as a credible platform for governance and democratic progress.
