As Christians across the country mark the Easter celebration, Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has extended warm Easter greetings to the people of the state, urging collective sacrifice, prayer, and unity in pursuit of peace, development, and national renewal.
In a message to citizens, Governor Sani described Easter as a season that symbolizes hope, sacrifice, and spiritual rebirth. He emphasized that, despite the challenges facing Kaduna and Nigeria at large, Easter is a timely reminder that “darkness is temporary, and light will ultimately prevail.”
Reflecting on the message of Jesus Christ’s ultimate sacrifice, the Governor called on citizens to draw inspiration from the Christian values of love, forgiveness, and service to others. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to “service above self,” noting that every government policy and programme is geared toward the welfare of all residents of Kaduna, regardless of background or belief.
“From the highlands of Zangon Kataf to the plains of Birnin Gwari, from Kaduna metropolis to the boundaries of Jema’a, our commitment is unwavering,” he stated, assuring that infrastructure development, security enhancement, and economic opportunities will reach every corner of the state.
Governor Sani also used the occasion to reiterate his administration’s resolve to empower youth and women, transform rural communities, and upgrade urban areas—particularly those inhabited by the urban poor.
Calling on the people to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pray for the success of his Renewed Hope Agenda, Governor Sani said the President’s economic reforms are bold steps aimed at repositioning Nigeria on the path of sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
He urged faith-based groups, community leaders, and citizens to show compassion to the less privileged, urging acts of charity that ensure “no one in our cosmopolitan state feels left behind.”
“As we rejoice this Easter, let our unity be our anthem and our diversity our strength,” the Governor said, praying for continued peace, progress, and development in Kaduna and across Nigeria.
