The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced a reduction in the price of premium motor spirit (PMS), bringing it down to N815 per liter from the previous N835.
Reports from DAILY POST indicate that this price adjustment has been implemented at NNPCL filling stations in Abuja, including locations in Wuse Zone 6 and 4, Keffi-Abuja Road, and Kubwa Expressway. An anonymous filling station attendant confirmed that the new price took effect on Sunday evening.
Despite this reduction, the current price at N815 per liter remains N79 higher than the N739 per liter offered by Dangote Refinery’s supported MRS filling stations across the country.
This latest change follows NNPCL’s previous price cut on December 19, 2025, when it lowered petrol prices by N80 amid a competitive price environment catalyzed by Dangote Refinery’s pricing strategies
