A Magistrate’s Court in Kuje, Abuja, has granted bail to publisher and activist Omoyele Sowore, along with Aloy Ejimakor, a lawyer for detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, Prince Emmanuel Kanu (Nnamdi Kanu’s brother), and ten others. The bail was set at ₦500,000, requiring two sureties of the same amount.
All thirteen defendants were arrested during the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest on October 20, 2025, for allegedly inciting public disturbance and breaching the peace. While Ejimakor, Emmanuel, and the others were arrested during the protest, Sowore was detained after attending Kanu’s terrorism trial on October 23.
