A bomb explosion in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State resulted in the deaths of at least 10 individuals on Friday night. The blast occurred near a local cinema beside the Konduga fish market, a well-frequented area.
The Borno police confirmed the incident through ASP Kenneth Daso, who stated that the explosion was caused by a female suicide bomber carrying improvised explosive devices (IEDs). She detonated the explosives in a crowded food market around 10:00 PM, leading to the casualties and several injuries.
Security forces cordoned off the area and evacuated victims, with the injured being transported to hospitals in Maiduguri for treatment. Daso urged the public to continue providing valuable information to security agencies to aid in the fight against terrorism.
