Hon. Lanre Oladebo, member of the House of Representatives for Ayedaade/Isokan/Irewole Federal Constituency, has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, saying it has delivered more in three and a half years than the All Progressives Congress (APC) did in its 12‑year rule in Osun State. Oladebo made the remarks while defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and receiving his Accord Party membership card, explaining that the governor’s visible achievements—especially in infrastructure—motivated his political switch.

Highlighting projects across the state, Oladebo said Adeleke’s administration has prioritized roads, public buildings and model facilities that have improved daily life for residents. He argued that these tangible improvements set the governor apart from previous administrations, and urged citizens to keep supporting Adeleke so he can “deliver more dividends of democracy” to communities across Osun.

Oladebo also raised concerns about the alleged withholding of local government funds by the Federal Government, saying the seizure has hindered grassroots governance and service delivery. He appealed to federal authorities to release the withheld allocations, warning that continued delays would undermine local development and the state’s ability to maintain recent gains.

Responding to Oladebo’s defection, Mr. Victor Akande, Osun State chairman of the Accord Party, welcomed him into the party and assured full support for his legislative work. Akande encouraged other residents to register on the party’s digital platform ahead of its primaries, saying the party is preparing for a competitive selection process and will back candidates who can sustain the state’s infrastructural momentum.
