The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has assured party members that the party will participate fully in the 2027 general elections, dismissing concerns arising from ongoing legal disputes.
Mark gave the assurance after receiving a briefing from the party’s legal team on a recent Federal High Court judgment in Abuja, expressing confidence that the ADC would overcome all pending litigations.
“You do not have anything to be afraid of regarding all the litigations before the party,” he said, adding that the party remains determined to secure its place on the ballot. “I want to assure you that we shall triumph in all the cases, and we shall be on the ballot for every election.”
He emphasized that the party is prepared to exhaust all legal avenues to challenge the ruling, noting that its legal team has already filed an appeal and sought a stay of execution.
According to Mark, the ADC is committed to navigating the legal process within the bounds of the law and remains confident of a favorable outcome. He also pledged to personally oversee the party’s legal battle as it works to resolve the issues ahead of the elections.
The development comes at a critical time as the African Democratic Congress intensifies preparations for the 2027 polls, with party leaders seeking to reassure supporters and maintain momentum despite the legal uncertainty.
Party officials believe Mark’s stance will boost confidence among members and reinforce the ADC’s position as a serious contender in the upcoming elections.
