Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has called on all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to return to their wards for membership revalidation. This directive was issued during his visit to the APC state secretariat in Uyo on August 2, 2025.
Governor Eno announced that the revalidation exercise would start on August 4 and last for about a month. He emphasized the importance of this process in determining the actual membership of the party. A register will be distributed to all wards through their chairmen.
He also expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, highlighting ongoing federal initiatives aimed at empowering local communities. Eno encouraged party members to back Senate President Godswill Akpabio and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
In addition, the governor inaugurated a 10-man committee tasked with establishing a new APC secretariat. He thanked party members for their ongoing support and underscored the significance of party unity and structure.
