The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has temporarily suspended its recruitment application portal to enhance system efficiency. Maj. Gen. AM Jibril (retd.), Secretary to the Board, announced the decision in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, indicating that the portal will reopen on July 21, 2025.

This suspension aims to manage the surge in applications and ensure a smooth recruitment process. Jibril expressed gratitude for the interest shown by Nigerians in joining the services and assured them of a fair recruitment process.

The suspension affects agencies under the CDCFIB, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigerian Correctional Service. Jibril encouraged applicants to monitor the portal and submit their applications promptly once it reopens. The recruitment exercise, which began on June 30, 2025, has already attracted thousands of applications.
