Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Gida Mustapha, has categorically denied any associations with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) or any opposition alliances in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections. In a statement released over the weekend, Mustapha labeled reports of his involvement as “fake news.”

Mustapha emphasized that he has not engaged in discussions or affiliations with opposition parties. He reiterated his loyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), highlighting his significant role in its establishment. “It is unthinkable for me to walk away from a party I helped to form,” he stated, recalling his previous position as Deputy National Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), a predecessor of the APC.

Urging APC members to address internal challenges within the party, Mustapha insisted that solutions should come from within rather than through defection. “If our party has problems, we will stay and fix those problems,” he added, reinforcing his commitment to the APC as the party prepares for the upcoming elections.
